2 indicted in North Texas murder-for-hire plot

DALLAS (AP) ? Two North Texas men were indicted in a plot police say changed focus from having one man's wife deported into a planning her death.

The Dallas Morning News (http://bit.ly/17n87XZ ) reports the men were indicted Thursday by a Collin County grand jury. Steven Lee Gordon of Allen was indicted on a solicitation of capital murder charge while Robert Wayne Bass of Garland was indicted on conspiracy to commit capital murder.

Allen police say after Gordon posted a Craigslist ad requesting help to get his wife deported, Bass responded and the plan turned to murder for hire.

Bass remained jailed Friday on $500,000 bond. His attorney, Robbie McClung, told The Associated Press the evidence will show her client's innocence.

An attorney for Gordon, jailed on $100,000 bond, didn't immediately return a call.
